How an Electrical Distributor doubled its revenue during the pandemic

If you find this to be bragging, I am sorry, my intention here is not to brag but to share the super success story of one of my clients.

So, here it goes.

My client is an electrical distributor in Europe. When the entire world went into an economic slow-down due to the pandemic, my client doubled his monthly revenue by simply choosing the right strategy. In fact, they hired us and we did the strategy for them.

We knew that the only way to expand to new markets and also increase business is by embracing the digital way of marketing. We adopted a three-step process

1. Choose the right eCommerce Platform: This is the first step and knowing the fact that the client has a thin budget, we chose WordPress+WooCommerce and set up an eStore within 10 days.
2. Content Strategy: When it comes to an eCommerce website, we had to consider multiple factors while building their content strategy, powerful search, robust taxonomy, and detailed schema to ensure that there is enough product information for a visitor to make a buying decision. The next important factor is the on-page strategy, the H1, H2, Meta Title, and Meta Description. We had to do enough research for every keyword before adding them to their website.
3. Off-Page Strategy: Now that you have everything on your website for visitors to become paying customers, it is time that you have many other websites to refer their visitors to your website. You really need to ensure that the backlinks are placed in highly relevant websites and on ones that have high Domain Authority and Page Authority.

It took about 2 months for us to start seeing results, the first thing that we noticed is that the bounce rate on the website came down drastically, then the domain authority increased. The conversion on the website also kept showing an upward trend. It took about 6 months month for us to realize that eCommerce has helped our client attract new customers who kept coming back to the website.

8 months since the client went online, the revenue has doubled and we have a great success story to our credit.
